Pediatric Palliative Care

Pediatric Palliative CareMusic Therapy is used to:

  • reduce and relieve the emotional and physical discomfort and distress often associated with a life-threatening condition or its treatment.
  • help normalize life for patients and families.
  • care for the entire person; body, mind, and spirit.
  • integrate with other healthcare disciplines to enhance quality of life.

Everyone Likes Music

Music Therapists work with the entire family and caregivers to design and deliver unique treatments that address physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual domains. Children are especially receptive to music therapy because music is such a big part of who they are.

Pediatric Palliative CareOur therapists work with children in Palliative care every day. We visit homes, talk to parents, consult and advise caregivers, and bring smiles and laughter to children across the greater Los Angeles area.

Our clients range from infants to teens, and we celebrate their lives in each visit. Parents often request music therapy because they notice the difference it makes, both in their child’s mood and functioning. Parents often report improvements in affect, mood, focus, and functioning. We work with typically developing children as well as those with special needs and conditions.
